This tutorial shows the basic steps to run LapTimer for the first time and customize it with your own names.

1. LapTimer opens in the Sessions list view, which lists all the sessions that are stored on the device. One example session is provided. To time a new session, tap the New... button, which brings up the New Session dialog. |

| 2. To enter and save a new track name for your use, pick "Edit Tracks..." from the Track popup, which brings up the Edit Tracks dialog. Tap the New button to enter a new track name. |  |

| 3. On the Edit Track dialog, enter the Track name and an Abbreviation, then tap OK on both the Edit Track dialog and the Edit Tracks dialogs. |  |

| 4. Back on the New Session dialog, make sure the new track name you entered is selected, then pick a session name from the Session popup. |  |

| 5. To enter and save a new car entry, pick Edit Cars... from the Car # popup, which brings up the Edit Cars dialog. Tap the New button to enter a new car. |  |

| 6. On the New Car dialog, enter a Car #, Driver name, Car Type, and Car Class, then tap OK on both the New Car and Edit Cars dialogs. |  |

| 7. The track and car information you have entered is now complete, and you can re-use these names in future sessions by simply picking them from the popup lists. Tap OK on the New Session dialog, which brings up the LapTimer view. At the start of the first lap, tap the Start button. |  |

| 9. Each time the car passes its reference point, tap the Lap button or press the device hardware button below the Lap button on screen to register a lap. |  |

| 10. When the session is complete, tap the Stop button and then the Done button to end and save the session. |  |

| 11. LapTimer returns to the Sessions list view, and your new saved session is visible in the list. You can then tap the session in the list to open it and review or edit it. |  |
