This section demonstrates the typical steps to use TapPoint RallyTimer to time a Rally checkpoint.

1. RallyTimer opens in the Sessions list view, which lists all the sessions that are stored on the device. To synchronize the RallyTimer clock with the official event clock before starting a new session, tap the Adjust Clock... button |

| 2. The RallyTimer Clock dialog shows a running display of the clock in the format selected. To adjust the clock, tap Adjust then use the Adjust Clock dialog to adjust the time then tap Set at the exact time indicated. | ![]() |

| 3. When the running time on the RallyTimer Clock dialog is correct, tap Done (otherwise repeat step 2). | ![]() |

| 4. To start a new session, tap New... in the Sessions view. In the New Session dialog, fill in the (optional) event name, checkpoint number, and location (or checkpoint name), then tap OK. | ![]() |

| 5. The RallyTimer view opens with a running clock display and an empty time log. Pick the desired time display format from the popup in the upper-right corner of the screen. | ![]() |

| 6. Tap the Time button or press one of the device buttons below the Time button to register each time in the log. | ![]() |

| 7. To change the car number assigned to any time in the sequence, tap the time in the log and adjust the car number in the Time dialog. | ![]() |
